Islamabad:The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), as the national regulatory and governing body of medical and dental professionals, on Sunday paid tribute to the armed forces on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.

In a statement, PMDC President Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj said that Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos demonstrated the professional excellence and outstanding military capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the armed forces successfully defended the sovereignty and dignity of the motherland. He said that Marka-e-Haq will always be remembered as a symbol of national unity and resilience.

"In recognition of the exceptional services, patriotism and dedication shown by Pakistan Army's healthcare professionals, rescue teams and all individuals who stood steadfast during this critical period, PMDC pays Kharaj-e-Tahseen as a symbol of appreciation and national gratitude," he said.

Prof. Dr. Rizwan said that the entire nation was proud of its martyrs and ghazis, who had sacrificed for the country’s freedom. He added that during Marka-e-Haq, the whole nation stood united like a solid wall. "The success in Marka-e-Haq reflects the nation’s unity, determination and the professionalism of our armed forces," he said. The PMDC president also expressed solidarity with all families affected during the conflict period and prayed for national peace, stability and prosperity.
