MINGORA: The University of Agriculture Swat on Saturday organised a ceremony to mark the Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos with national zeal and enthusiasm.
The event was organised by the university’s Directorate of Outreach and Student Affairs to pay tribute to the unwavering courage, sacrifices, and resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces. The ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Daud Jan, while Brigadier Amir Jamil attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
Faculty members, administrative staff, and students participated in the event with enthusiasm.
The programme formally commenced with introductory remarks by Dr. Mian Ahmad Raza, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem, creating an atmosphere of unity and respect.
During the ceremony, students delivered speeches describing the Marka-e-Haq as a symbol of courage, integrity, and national sovereignty. They paid rich tribute to the martyrs and emphasized the role of youth in safeguarding Pakistan’s ideological and geographical frontiers.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Daud Jan expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces in defense of the motherland. He said that this was not merely a historical reference but a continuing source of inspiration for the nation to uphold justice, unity, and steadfastness. He further stressed that educational institutions have a responsibility to nurture responsible, aware, and patriotic citizens capable of contributing positively to national development.
Speaking informally with students, Brigadier Amir Jamil appreciated the university’s efforts in organizing the event.
