ISLAMABAD: The nation will celebrate the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” tomorrow (Sunday) with patriotic spirit and zeal.
Although, the celebrations have been ongoing since May 1, the main ceremony will be held on May 10 at the Pakistan Monument in Shakarparian, Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir will address the gathering. Special green lighting arrangements have been made for the occasion.
Pakistan Air Force aircraft will perform an air show, while a laser show will also be held. National songs will be presented as part of the celebrations.
Streamers have been installed at the monument, and green national flags are flying all around. A special stage has been prepared for the ceremony, equipped with digital screens.
The armed forces, in particular, are celebrating this anniversary, while people from all walks of life are also participating enthusiastically. On Friday, the Islamabad Police and CDA organised celebratory events.
The PNCA arranged a cultural show, while Pakistan Railways also organised special events as part of the celebrations.
