Two people lost their lives in traffic accidents in different parts of the city, police said on Friday. A 55-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near the main gate of New Sabzi Mandi within the jurisdiction of the SITE Super Highway Industrial Area police station. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. The police said the deceased could not be immediately identified.

In another accident, a motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a traffic accident near St Patrick’s School in the Lines Area within the limits of the Saddar police station. The injured man was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he later died during treatment.

The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Nauman, son of Abdul Latif. The police said preliminary investigations suggested that the accident occurred after the victim was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
