LAHORE: The Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Thursday approved seven new certificate courses aimed at strengthening research capacity, clinical skills, laboratory standards and scientific communication among undergraduate and postgraduate students in health sciences disciplines.
The approval was granted during the 225th meeting of the ASRB chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore. The certificates include ‘Certificate in Quality Management (CQM) for Clinical Laboratories and Blood Banking’, a programme designed to improve quality assurance practices and standardization in diagnostic laboratories and transfusion services. The Board also approved six other certificate courses covering research methodology, clinical epidemiology, evidence-based medicine, clinical trials management, research ethics, grant writing and translational research.
