Fire drill workshop held at JPMC

A successful fire drill workshop was conducted at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) to enhance emergency preparedness, fire safety awareness, and coordinated disaster response management.

Officials said that the workshop was attended by distinguished guests, including Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Amjad Siraj Memon, Executive Director Professor Dr Khalid Sher, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Nighat Shah, Rescue 1122 Director Brigadier Wajid Mehar, ER Incharge Dr Nosheen, Organizer Dr Irfan Siddiqui, Organizer Dr Waqas Khan, ADM Saddam Saleh, DD Dr Adeel, and Media Coordinator Asim Rehman.

Notable faculty members, including Professor Dr Zeeshan, Dr Shaista, Dr Dilip, Dr Chooni Lal, Dr Barkat, Dr Rabia Ghafoor, Dr Rab, Dr Ali, Dr Omer Sultan, and the ER team also participated in the workshop.

During the session, participants received practical training on fire safety protocols, emergency response strategies, evacuation procedures, and fire warden management skills. The workshop helped build confidence among participants and highlighted the importance of conducting such practical drills regularly to improve preparedness and effective emergency management.
