Youth exit

Many bright young students are leaving Pakistan for foreign universities as youth unemployment rises and many graduates feel their skills do not match market demands. The recent economic volatility and rising inflation have made entry-level jobs even harder to find and digital freelancing remains under-promoted outside major cities.

The government must establish district-level youth mentorship hubs with private sector partnership and give tax incentives to companies that hire fresh graduates for two-year paid traineeships. Youth disengagement is a slow burning fuse that must be addressed on an urgent basis.
