Education must be accessible to every school-age child in Pakistan. Currently, a large number of boys and girls remain out of school for various reasons. This figure is likely to rise alongside unabated population growth. While the government has made progress by improving public schools and increasing new enrolments, more must be done. In the best interest of the country’s young people, the government is urged to intensify efforts that can drive a significant positive shift in enrolment across the country. The country cannot afford to compromise on investing in its younger generation. Only through high-quality education will they be prepared to lead themselves and the country towards a prosperous future.
