Islamabad: The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) has launched an important initiative to raise awareness among the general public about legal rights against harassment, says a press release.
Under this campaign, awareness stickers have been installed on buses and at stations of the metro bus services in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Multan. This campaign is for women, men and transgender persons, ensuring that following the 2022 amendment, the law provides equal protection to every individual against harassment at the workplace.
The primary objective of the campaign is to ensure that every individual who faces workplace harassment, whether a woman, a man or a transgender person, is aware of their legal rights. After the 2022 amendment, the law provides protection to all employees without gender discrimination. Metro buses have been selected for this campaign as they are used daily by millions of citizens, making them an effective platform to deliver this message in a simple and impactful manner.
