LAHORE: An all-round performance by Asghar Ali steered Masood Builders to a comprehensive five-wicket victory over Javed Engineers in a match of the third Anwar Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at the Punjab University New Campus Ground the other day.
Asghar Ali with, with bowling haul of 3 for 23 enabled his side to restrict opponents Javed Engineers to 140/7 in 20 overs and then with Sagheer Mukhtar emerging as top-scorer 42 off 35 balls. Khalid Hussain made 29 and M.Imran 23. Besides Asghar Ali’s fine bowling Umar Iqbal also impressed with figures of 3/13. Dr Saeed Khan claimed 1 for 20.
