Gas loadshedding has turned into a real headache for people living in Karachi and what makes it worse is that it is no longer just a winter problem. Even in the hot summer months, when gas demand is usually lower, many households are still struggling with shortages. This situation disrupts everyday life as something as basic as cooking meals becomes difficult and people are forced to adjust their routines around limited gas availability. One of the main reasons behind this issue is the city’s rapidly growing population.
As more people move to Karachi, the demand for gas keeps increasing, but the supply has not kept up. On top of that, poor management and unequal distribution make the situation even more frustrating. In some areas, gas is available only for a few hours a day, leaving residents stressed and inconvenienced. To deal with this problem, the authorities need to take serious steps. Improving the supply system and ensuring that gas is distributed fairly should be a priority. At the same time, people also have a role to play by using gas responsibly and avoiding unnecessary waste.
