LAHORE: A gang involved in robbing citizens through a honey-trap scheme was exposed in the Kahna area. Police arrested four suspects, including two women.
According to SP Model Town Asad Ali, the suspects were identified as Zeeshan, Mudassar, Samira and Noreen.
The group allegedly operated in an organised manner, with female members luring individuals by offering friendship and meetings. Victims were then confined unlawfully and deprived of cash and valuables.
Police said a citizen named Ashiq was recently targeted in a similar manner, and the suspects also obtained money from him online.
Following the incident, police launched an investigation and arrested the suspects using modern technology.
Police have registered a case and arrested nominated suspects after a shopkeeper, along with his accomplices, allegedly tied up and tortured a citizen on suspicion of theft in the Shad Bagh area.
According to details, the owner of a breakfast shop, along with associates, subjected a youth to violence over suspicion of mobile phone theft. The suspects reportedly beat him with axe handles and recorded a video of the assault.

According to Rescue 1122, the explosion occurred due to a gas leak, triggering a fire.
Rescue teams shifted the injured to hospital. The injured were identified as Hasnat Bibi and her husband Raheel. Both are currently under treatment.
