The Directorate of Inspection & Registration of Private Institutions Sindh (Dirpis), under the Sindh School Education & Literacy Department, has directed private schools to immediately refund fees collected from Class X students for an unauthorised period, warning of legal action in case of non-compliance.
According to a circular issued by Dirpis Additional Director Prof Rafia Mallah, this directive is in continuation of an earlier notification dated April 22. Dirpis said that it had received multiple complaints that certain privately managed schools had charged students for a period falling outside the scope defined in the earlier circular, thereby violating official instructions.
The circular strictly instructs all private institutions that any fees collected for the said unauthorised period must be refunded to the parents or students concerned without delay. It also warns that action would be initiated against schools under the relevant rules if they fail to comply with the directive.
The circular has been forwarded to the relevant authorities, including regional directorates and school administrators across the province, for the immediate implementation of the directive.
