LAHORE: Police have arrested six suspects involved in a robbery incident worth Rs2.5 million that took place four days ago in the Tibbi City area.
The suspects were apprehended during a targeted operation launched after the incident. The robbery involved gold ornaments belonging to a resident of Gujranwala, who had come to Lahore for the purchase and repair of jewellery.
Investigations revealed that the son of a shopkeeper allegedly developed criminal intent and, in collusion with accomplices, planned the robbery.
Two of the suspects later intercepted the victim in the Tibbi City area and snatched gold ornaments at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, Tibbi City police registered a case. Authorities used CCTV footage to trace and arrest one of the suspects, whose identification led to the capture of the remaining accused, including the alleged mastermind.
