BANNU: A policeman embraced martyrdom when unidentified militants targeted a bulletproof police vehicle with a rocket in the Kangar Jan Bahadur area of Bannu, police officials said on Friday.
Officials said militants targeted the police vehicle of the Faateh Khel checkpoint. As a result of the assault, driver Raz Ali Shah embraced martyrdom on the spot.
A civilian was also injured in the incident and was immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital for medical treatment.
Following the attack, police cordoned off the area and launched a search and combing operation to trace the attackers.
