A teenage boy went missing on Friday after falling into a water channel near Ghazi Goth in Scheme-33.
A 12-year-old boy, identified as Zahid, son of Muhammad Khan, fell into a water channel near Ghazi Goth and went missing. Upon receiving information, Rescue 1122 personnel rushed to the scene and initiated a search operation.
A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said water rescue teams began searching at two locations, while the deputy commissioner East also reached the site to supervise the operation. A large number of area residents gathered at the scene during the rescue efforts.
The spokesperson added that the search operation was suspended due to nightfall and would resume the following morning. In another incident, a 60-year-old man, identified as Muhammad, son of Qasim, died after falling into a drain near Maripur Road, within the limits of Kalri police station.
