QUETTA: Four people were injured when unidentified motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade at a shop in Kalat, police said on Thursday.
According to police, the incident occurred late Wednesday night in Killi Pandrani, where unknown assailants riding a motorcycle threw a hand grenade at a shop. The grenade exploded with a loud blast, injuring four individuals.
The injured were identified as Ali Gul (27), son of Muhammad Khan, resident of Killi Pandrani; Noor Zebaib (30), son of Dad Muhammad; Ali Ahmed (28), son of Ghulam Haider; and Liaqat Ali (14), son of Haji Abdullah. All belong to the Nichari and Pandrani tribes and are residents of the area.
Following the blast, a heavy police contingent reached the site and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
Police registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the unidentified attackers.
