SWABI: A local court on Wednesday sentenced a man to death and imposed a fine of Rs 1 million for murder of a young chartered accountant, Kamran Khan, 35.
Additional Sessions Judge-II Liaqat Ali, while announcing its judgment, awarded the death penalty to convict Jawad and imposed a fine of Rs 1 million on him.The young chartered account Kamran Khan was murdered on September 1, 2023 in Ambar village of Swabi.
According to three pages detail of the court the prosecution has succeeded to prove the charge against the accused facing trial Jawad beyond any shadow of reasonable doubt through circumstantial, trustworthy and confidence inspiring evidence, therefore, accused facing trial Jawad is convicted with death-penalty (on one count) for committing Qatl-e-amd of deceased Kamran Khan under section 302 (b) Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) as Tazir.
