Rawalpindi: On the special directives of the Special Secretary, Higher Education Department, a Students’ Career Counseling Center was formally inaugurated at Government Associate College for Women, Dhok Kala Khan, Rawalpindi.
The ceremony was held under the supervision of the Principal, Dr. Ayesha Javed, who also announced the formation of an effective counseling committee aimed at ensuring the holistic development of students.
The committee will work towards providing comprehensive guidance in academic planning, mental and physical well-being, and overall personal development of the students.
The inauguration was done by the Director Colleges and Secretary Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, Amjad Iqbal Khattak, who attended the event as the chief guest. Assistant Director Colleges, Ana Riaz, was also present on the occasion.
In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the Principal and termed the establishment of the Career Counseling Center a vital initiative for shaping a bright future for female students.
He emphasized that career counseling plays a crucial role in helping students make informed academic and professional choices. A meaningful session was also held during the event, attended by committee members and students.
The Director Colleges provided valuable insights on career planning, academic decision-making, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He encouraged students to prepare themselves to effectively face future challenges. The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the progress of the country, stability in the education sector, and the success of the students.
