PPSC relocates PMS exam centres from Rawalpindi to Lahore

Rawalpindi : Amid prevailing security situation in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has relocated examination centers for the compulsory subject papers of 1,216 candidates from Rawalpindi Division appearing in the PMS 2025 to Lahore.

The decision was made during a meeting of a committee chaired by PPSC Member Mirza Sohail Aamir. Following final approval from PPSC Chairman Lieutenant General (r) Muhammad Abdul Aziz, an official notification was issued by Secretary Afzaal Ahmed.

According to Deputy Director PPSC Syed Kazim Muqaddas Kazmi, the affected candidates include 754 males and 462 females who were scheduled to take exams from April 24 to April 26, 2026, at Government Gordon Graduate College, Liaquat Road, Rawalpindi, and Government Associate College for Women, Jhanda Chichi.

Due to the current security situation in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, their examination center has now been shifted to Divisional Public School, Model Town, in Lahore. The PPSC spokesperson stated that candidates must download their revised admission letters from the official website after 2pm on April 21 and ensure their presence at the new center according to the given schedule.

Meanwhile, results of Phase-I of the PMS/Combined Competitive Examination 2025 have already been announced. Over 8,000 candidates qualified for 119 posts out of more than 36,000 who appeared in the exam held on January 25, 2026. A total of 8,898 candidates cleared Phase-I and will now sit for 11 papers in Phase-II.

The PPSC further stated that Phase-II will comprise five compulsory and six optional subjects. Candidates who pass the written examination will proceed to psychological assessment and interviews, after which the final merit list will be compiled.
