PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Tuesday held a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership from Azad Jammu and Kashmir to review preparations for his scheduled visit on April 25, as well as the ongoing public outreach campaign.

The chief minister noted that the visit forms part of the broader street movement being advanced in line with the directions of Imran Khan, and emphasized that efforts would be further scaled up to strengthen its momentum. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue the political and legal struggle for the release of illegally incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi. The chief minister stated that the struggle for constitutional supremacy, independence of the judiciary and media, and true freedom will continue with full force. He said that the provincial government was prioritizing human capital development in alignment with the vision of Imran Khan, with a strong policy focus on improving outcomes in the health and education sectors through targeted and sustained interventions. Members of the delegation stated that bringing forward young leadership by Imran Khan is a positive and forward-looking step. They further said that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir were highly energized and would accord the chief minister a historic reception during his visit.
