Rawalpindi:Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb has said that fine arts reflect a society's cultural identity and intellectual development, playing a vital role in nurturing creativity while promoting tolerance, harmony, and positive thinking.
She expressed these views while inaugurating the Painting Exhibition of Senior Artists of Rawalpindi as the chief guest at the Punjab Council of the Arts (PCA), Rawalpindi. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema, said that the artists of Rawalpindi are making remarkable contributions to the promotion of culture and heritage through their creative work.
He noted that their dedication serves as a source of inspiration for the younger generation and strengthens the city's rich artistic legacy. Among the distinguished guests were assistant commissioner, Eman Zafar and founder and former director of the Arts Council, Naheed Manzoor.
The exhibition featured a diverse collection of paintings by renowned senior artists of Rawalpindi, highlighting Pakistan's cultural heritage, natural landscapes, social themes, and contemporary artistic expressions.
