The Keamari investigation police have solved the mystery of a burnt body found 12 days ago in Sohrab Rind Goth and arrested the victim’s father-in-law and brother-in-law for their alleged involvement in the murder.
According to police, a completely charred body was found within the limits of the Mochko police station in Sohrab Rind Goth on April 9. Due to the condition of the body, identification was carried out through the Talash App, confirming the deceased as 29-year-old Faizan Satti, alias Faizi, son of Shiraz Akhtar.
The victim, a resident of Saeedabad Sector 4G, worked as a clerk at a the goods transport labour office in the SITE area. He had gone missing on April 8 after leaving home. Police had registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s father against unidentified suspects and initiated investigations from multiple angles.
During the probe, the Keamari investigation police used modern technical methods to trace the suspects and arrested two key accused, later identified as Karam, the victim’s father-in-law, and brother-in-law Attaullah. The murder weapon was also recovered from their possession.
According to Keamari Investigation SSP Masroor Ahmed Jatoi, the accused said during the interrogation that after the marriage, the victim victim forced his wife to consume contraceptive pills, which reportedly led to her death.
The suspects further stated that they were also angry because after his wife’s death, the victim started trying to woo her sister. The arrested men said they lured Satti to a location, attacked him with a shovel killing him, and later set his body on fire using petrol to conceal the crime.
