A man who was kidnapped in Federal B Area eight days ago was found dead in a flat on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road on Sunday.

Police arrested his cousin and two accomplices in connection with the murder. According to police officials, the kidnapping case of the deceased man, Rehan Ahmed, was registered on April 13 at the Jauharabad police station on the complaint of his son Ruhan Khan.

During the investigation, police reviewed multiple CCTV camera recordings and found evidence that Ahmed had left with a suspect identified as Syed Faisal Karim in a car on the evening of April 11.

Acting on suspicion, police detained Karim for questioning. During interrogation, he confessed that he kidnapped Ahmed after planning and handed him over to another suspect, Ziaullah, alias Najeeb, alias Haider.

Karim also revealed that three to four accomplices were present in the flat where Rehan was held. Police said the suspects subjected the victim to torture and kept him confined in the flat. Upon the identification by the suspect, police recovered Ahmed’s body from a locked flat on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road. The body was shifted to a hospital for legal formalities, and evidence from the scene was collected.

District Central Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Imran Khan stated that the victim and the accused were business partners and had a property dispute, which appeared to be the motive behind the murder. Further investigations are under way.
