Islamabad: Speakers at a day-long teachers’ convention held here on Sunday underscored the vital role of the teaching community in the character building of students.
The convention was organised by the Education Committee of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) women’s wing. Deputy Secretary of JI women’s wing, Ms Iffat Sajjad, highlighted the nurturing and guiding role of teachers, stressing the need to further focus on enhancing students’ creative abilities alongside their moral and character development.
The speakers were unanimous in their view that it is a shared responsibility of teachers, parents, and educational institutions to ensure the best possible education and training for the coming generation. They also emphasized the importance of incorporating artificial intelligence and modern educational tools into the learning process.
They further noted that, as part of its commitment to education and skill development, the JI has launched the “Bano Qabil” project to provide computer and information technology training to people of all age groups.
