15,886 electricity thieves arrested in four months

LAHORE : Punjab Police’s crackdown against electricity thieves continued vigorously across the province on the directions of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz.

Spokesperson Punjab Police, while sharing details, said that so far this year, 21,506 cases of electricity theft have been registered across the province, including Lahore, while 15,886 accused have been arrested. 

Challans of 13,749 cases of electricity theft have been completed, and 2,440 accused involved in electricity theft have been awarded punishments and fines by the courts. 

In the provincial capital Lahore, 4,814 cases of electricity theft have been registered and 5,323 electricity thieves have been arrested.
