Muslim Ummah unity vital for liberation of Palestine: Ashrafi

LAHORE : Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Allama Tahir Ashrafi has said that the unity among the Muslim Ummah is essential for the freedom of Palestine. Hetermed the recent ceasefire a positive development and added that Pakistan’s flag is being raised across the world and its global role is being acknowledged, while certain forces seeking instability in the region have failed.

He expressed these views while addressing an interfaith event organised by the Inter-Sect Relations Committee of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the title ‘Shared Homeland, Shared Joys and Pakistan’s Global Success.’

The ceremony was attended by Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan Allama Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman of the All Sects Ulema Board Maulana M Asim Makhdoom, Archbishop of Lahore Bishop Khalid Rehmat, Father Asif Sardar, Father Naqqash Azam, Samuel Pyara, Dr Badr Munir, Allama Qari Khalid Mahmood, Allama Arshad Abidi, Allama Ghulam Abbas Shirazi, Prof Zulfiqar, Umaywal Parvez Bhatti, Nadeem Pehlwan, Salahuddin Rana, Nokhaiz Khokhar, Sarmad Ali and others.

Addressing the event, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Paigham-e-Pakistan Committee Allama Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that Gulf countries are showing trust in Pakistan and the country’s role is gaining importance globally. He stated that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for global peace are ongoing and expressed hope for their success. Chairman All Sects Ulema Board and Convener of the Committee Maulana Asim Makhdoom said that Pakistan belongs to all citizens collectively and their joys are shared.
