Electric scooters will soon be distributed in Hyderabad following a successful roll-out of the same programme in Sukkur.

Sindh Senior Minister and Minister for Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon stated on Saturday that after the encouraging response in Sukkur, the scheme will now be extended to women in Hyderabad, aiming to enhance their independence and mobility.

He reiterated that empowering women and fostering self-reliance remain a top priority of the Sindh government, adding that such programmes are designed to directly benefit ordinary citizens, particularly women, youth, and the working class.

Memon further said that after Sukkur and Shikarpur, the network of the People’s Bus Service is being expanded, and it will soon be launched on the Khairpur–Rohri and Khairpur–Ranipur routes. He said that preparations are underway to start bus services on the Kohsar Haider Chowk and Hyderabad–Tando Allahyar routes in Hyderabad.

He said the aim of these projects is to provide affordable, quality, and comfortable travel facilities to the public, while the Sindh government continues to introduce measures that directly benefit the common people, especially women, youth, and the working class.
