TIMERGARA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand launched a crackdown against individuals involved in paper leaks and cheating through solved examination papers, apprehending several suspects red-handed.

Legal action was initiated against two government schoolteachers allegedly involved in the malpractice.

Acting on the directives of BISE Malakand Chairman Kaleemullah, three teams led by Controller of Examinations Dr Ayaz Ahmad and Assistant Controller (Secrecy) Bakht Amin Khan conducted raids in Munda, Khall, and Warai.

The officials raided a private school in Munda where the English paper of grade 10th was allegedly being solved illegally before the examination.

The team caught the suspects red-handed while they were busy solving the paper with the help of an English subject specialist. Solved material was recovered from the suspects during the operation.

The board officials recommended registering a case against the principal of the private school along with two government teachers.

Police took the school principal and one government teacher into custody and launched an investigation, while another government teacher involved in the case was at large.

In a similar action in Warai in Upper Dir, three individuals were booked for allegedly leaking examination papers.
