PESHAWAR: Former minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Taimur Saleem Jhagra criticized the federal government for rising inflation and failing to control it under the pretext of war.
Speaking at a press conference, he said though the PTI supported the US-Iran peace negotiations, the federal government had burdened the public with sudden increases in petroleum prices.
He accused the government of benefiting petroleum companies by raising fuel prices overnight and later reducing them due to public pressure.
Jhagra said Islamabad faced around 2.5 hours of power outages while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced up to 12 hours of power cuts daily.
