ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm resolve to defeat terrorist elements operating with foreign backing, vowing that their nefarious designs would be foiled while emphasising that peace and stability remain a key national priority.
In a meeting with a delegation of parliamentarians belonging to Balochistan, President Asif Ali Zardari reviewed the overall political situation in the country, with particular focus on the province, as well as ongoing development projects. The president said that state efforts aimed at ensuring peace and promoting development in Balochistan are continuing with full force, underscoring the importance of sustained and coordinated measures for long-term progress in the province.
The meeting was attended by prominent political figures, including Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Sardar Muhammad Umar Gorgage, Bilal Mandokhail, Hasina Bano, Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, and Malik Shah Gorgage. Other participants included Zahoor Buledi, Faisal Jamali, Bakht Kakar, Ali Madad Jatak, Sanaullah Zehri, Ali Hassan Zehri, and Liaquat Lehri. Among those present were Sadiq Umrani, Asfandiyar Kakar, Samad Gorgage, Ubaid Gorgage, Ghazala Gola, and Sanjay Kumar. The meeting was also attended by Mir Asghar Rind, Meena Majeed, Naimat Zehri, Shehnaz Umrani, Sahibzada Amir Hamza Zehri, Baba Ghulam Rasool Umrani, and Rabbani Kakar.
