LAHORE: Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) Chairperson Hina Pervez Butt had a meeting with Provincial Ombudsperson for Women Dr Najma Afzal Khan to discuss key issues related to women’s protection and their rights.
Both Dr Najma Afzal Khan and Hina Pervez agreed on strengthening measures to protect women from harassment, ensure swift justice, and enhance institutional cooperation.
PWPA Chairperson Hina Pervez Butt stated that protecting women from harassment and safeguarding their rights is a shared responsibility.
She emphasised that strong coordination among institutions is essential to provide women with immediate relief and effective justice.
She further added that efforts to protect women will continue to be implemented diligently, and the dream of a safer Punjab can only be realised through strong institutional linkages.
Dr Najma highlighted that the ombudsperson’s office provides facilities for the prompt registration and resolution of harassment complaints, ensuring free of cost
and speedy justice for women.
