CDA approves allotment of additional land for JMC

Islamabad:The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board which met here on Thursday approved the allotment of additional land in H-11/1 for the Jinnah Medical Complex (JMC) and Research Center.

The 4th meeting of the CDA Board for the year 2026 was held at CDA Headquarters under the chairmanship of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Sohail Ashraf.

The meeting was attended by Member Administration Esfandyar Baloch, Member Estate Zaman Wattoo, Member Finance and Planning and Design Muhammad Umair, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza and Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor of Punjab University. Several agenda items were discussed during the fourth CDA Board meeting.

During the meeting, it was decided to extend the agreement with Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for the use of the Losar landfill site. Chairman CDA, Sohail Ashraf, directed that work be initiated on developing a scientific landfill site for the Federal Capital, Islamabad.

He emphasized that environmental protection should be given special consideration in this regard.The meeting also approved the extension of the agreement for the collection of solid waste from the Waste Transfer Station in Islamabad and its transportation to the dumping site at Losar managed by Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC).
