LAHORE:A strict accountability system has been implemented in the Punjab Sports Department and the performance of all sports officers will be evaluated through Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
Performance will be the only gauge to evaluate the sports officers of the province. “The officers, who showed excellent performance will be rewarded and the officers with poor performance will be demoted.
Punjab Minister for Sports Faisal Ayub Khokhar said this while addressing the General Body Meeting of Sports Board Punjab at the National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. SBP Vice-Chairman Malik Suleman Saleem, Secretary Sports Punjab M Ali, Director General Sports Punjab M Tariq Qureshi, MPA M Ajmal Khan Chandia were also present in the meeting. Faisal Khokhar said that a modern control room will be set up in the Punjab Sports Department to monitor all the sports complexes across the province through cameras.
Revealing another historic measure, Faisal Khokhar said that a decision has been taken to establish a University of Sports Sciences in Punjab and its initial courses have been launched at Institute of Sports Sciences Punjab (ISSP).
