LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan said that development works in every tehsil must be completed according to the time lines and deadlines. Revenue and municipal service provision are of equal importance according to the vision of CM of Punjab. She issued these orders while chairing a divisional meeting on Thursday.
The meeting was convened to review the progress of beautification and development works in the entire division.The deputy commissioners of all four districts of Lahore Division presented various proposals on restructuring to improve public service delivery. The districts also presented proposals for increasing human resources and professional capacity.
Commissioner Lahore said that restructuring suggestions are being taken to provide timely and best services to the citizens anddeputy commissioners should formulate a coordinated action plan for agencies and authorities at the district level.
She said that the market timings will be strictly observedon the instructions of the Punjab government. ACs, PERA forces and price magistrates should tighten price checking and monitoring and checking teams must be in the field, and food prices must be moderated.
Later, the Commissioner Lahore Marryam Khan and DC Lahore Capt(retd) Ali Ijaz visited MianMunshi Trust Hospital Lahore and reviewed cleanliness, medical care protocols and sanitation. Commissioner Lahore checked the pediatric ward, per-patient wards, emergency, information and facility/guidance desk. She also reviewed the cleanliness standards including free medicines in the emergency and wards.
