LAHORE: A Higher Education Commission (HEC) team led by DG Research & Analysis Activities (R&AA) Saleem Ullah Sohoo visited the University of Veterinary & Animal Science (UVAS) here on Tuesday.
UVAS VC Prof Dr M Younus presided over the meeting at City Campus Lahore where UVAS Deans, chairpersons of different depts, administrative officers and faculty members were present.
Sohoo shared HEC rules and guidelines to address drug and harassment issues, new facilities and initiatives for students. He said it is necessary to arrange seminars in the university for the awareness of students. Various aspects were discussed during meeting related to university refund policy, HEC rules and regulations for anti-drug, working against harassment and role of harassment committee, review of classrooms, libraries, laboratories, restrooms, common areas, information technology and other essential facilities, evaluation of accessible routes, parking facilities & signage, interviews with key stakeholders to gather insights and understand specific challenges etc.
