RDA removes encroachments on High Court Road

Rawalpindi: On the directions of the Commissioner Rawalpindi and Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Engineer Aamer Khattak, the RDA Enforcement Squad carried out a comprehensive anti-encroachment operation along High Court Road, Rawalpindi from Gulraiz Gate to Car Chowk and from Car Chowk to Pakki Gali.

During the operation, RDA Enforcement Squad removed encroachments to restore the state of the road and ensure smooth traffic flow and several illegal commercial properties were also sealed during the operation.

The Enforcement Squad remained actively deployed to ensure prompt and effective implementation of the operation. Officials also sensitized shopkeepers and the general public about the importance of preserving public spaces and strictly adhering to approved building plans and relevant regulations. The operation aimed not only at removing encroachments but also at facilitating pedestrian movement, improving traffic circulation, and promoting a clean, organized urban environment. The Authority issued a stern warning that strict legal action will be taken against repeat violators, reiterating that illegal occupation of public land will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Furthermore, the RDA highlighted that such enforcement drives are part of its broader strategy to modernize urban infrastructure, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance the overall aesthetics of Rawalpindi. Citizens have been encouraged to report illegal constructions and encroachments to the RDA helpline to ensure timely action and to support efforts towards a safe, accessible, and well-managed city.

The RDA reiterated its firm commitment to maintaining urban discipline and taking strict action against illegal constructions and encroachments across the city. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Additional Director General RDA, Masood Ahmad Bukhari. Director Land and In-charge Enforcement, Ghazanfar Ali Awan, along with Building Inspector Shafiqur Rahman, Building Surveyor Aamir Mahmood Malik, Asim Nawaz Khokhar, and other enforcement staff actively participated in the operation.
