ISLAMABAD: The opposition alliance and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Saturday expressed best wishes for the success of Iran-US negotiations in the federal capital.

The Tehreek Tahaffuz Aiyeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP) in a statement issued here said, “We are confident that these diplomatic efforts will lay the foundation for constructive progress and will lead to an effective dialogue between the parties that will promote mutual trust.”

“We expect that this process will not only strengthen the broader interests of the Islamic world but will also further strengthen Pakistan’s strategic and national interests. This progress can be a means of creating new possibilities for sustainable peace, stability and economic development in the region,” it noted. The Tehreek prayed to Allah Almighty to grant success to these diplomatic efforts, to grant wisdom and insight to all relevant leaderships, and to enable them to take decisions that are in the overall interest of humanity and the region.

Separately, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram termed the ongoing US-Iran peace talks in Islamabad a remarkable diplomatic achievement, expressing hope that Pakistan’s efforts would help bring the Middle East conflict to an end and pave the way for lasting and durable peace in the region.

In a statement issued here, he said that the party had extended its sincere prayers for the success of the ongoing US-Iran talks currently underway in the federal capital. He noted that Pakistan had played a responsible and constructive role in brokering a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that the truce would serve as a foundation for a more lasting and permanent resolution to the conflict.

“It is our earnest desire that these deliberations will yield constructive and mutually beneficial outcomes, advancing the collective interests of the Muslim Ummah, reinforcing Pakistan’s strategic priorities, and fostering peace, stability, and prosperity across the wider region,” he added.
