LAHORE: The FIA Lahore has intensified its crackdown on corruption and human smuggling, arresting suspects in separate operations.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the Anti-Corruption Circle arrested a former post office employee, Malik Shabbir Ahmed Khan, for his alleged involvement in embezzlement during his posting at the GPO, Sheikhupura.
An investigation has been initiated. In another operation, FIA teams arrested Abdul Majeed and M Haseeb for their alleged involvement in human smuggling and visa fraud.
The suspects are accused of defrauding citizens of Rs3.74 million on the pretext of overseas employment. —
