Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has postponed examinations in Islamabad due to high-stakes diplomatic activities in the federal capital.
According to an official notification, the decision was taken following instructions from authorities amid heightened security and official engagements in the city. The exam centres included Islamabad Model School for Boys, G-6/4 (Centre A – 1296), Islamabad Model School for Boys, G-6/4 (Centre B – 9133) and Islamabad Model School for Girls, Prime Minister’s Staff Colony, G-5 (Centre Code – 1375).
The board said revised examination dates will be announced later. Meanwhile, On the instructions of the Commissioner and Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, Engineer Aamir Khattak, the examinations scheduled for April 10 (Friday) have been postponed at 64 examination centers within Rawalpindi city.
The postponed papers include Compulsory Urdu and AWA Compulsory Urdu (Dars-e-Nizami Group) in the morning session, while Compulsory Urdu and Geography of Pakistan in the evening session.
It is clarified that all examinations in other districts of Rawalpindi Division will be conducted as per the announced schedule and date sheet, with no changes. The spokesperson said that the new date for the postponed papers in Rawalpindi city will be announced separately soon, and candidates will be informed accordingly through official channels.
