Islamabad: For the first time, full-time field monitoring staff have been recruited and deployed within the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on the directives of the federal secretary for education.
Officials said Monitoring and Evaluation Assistants (MEAs) had been equipped with motorcycles and tablets loaded with dedicated monitoring applications. Following in-house training, they are now conducting regular field visits, gathering real-time data and generating evidence to inform corrective action.
At a review meeting chaired by the secretary, initial monitoring reports were examined and instructions were issued for immediate remedial measures.
Officials noted that the MEAs’ work is significantly strengthening governance, enhancing transparency and improving the functioning of public schools and colleges.
