Bhandara welcomes ceasefire

RAWALPINDI: MNA Isphanyar Bhandara has welcomed the recently announced two-week ceasefire between the United States, its allies, and Iran, terming it a positive development achieved through timely diplomatic engagement, says a press release.

In a statement, he said Pakistan played a constructive role in promoting dialogue and de-escalation at a critical juncture, helping to avert a wider regional conflict.Bhandara commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), for their coordinated and proactive efforts in engaging with all sides and advocating restraint.

“Pakistan has once again demonstrated its commitment to peace and stability through responsible diplomacy,” he said.He added that Pakistan’s role reflects its growing stature as a credible voice for peace, highlighting the coordinated efforts of the country’s political and military leadership. He particularly noted the diplomatic engagement of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif alongside the strategic outreach of Field Marshal Asim Munir in facilitating understanding among key stakeholders.
