LAHORE: The Sports Board Punjab has confirmed plans to organise the CM Punjab Premier League in collaboration with WASA Lahore, with the tournament scheduled for June 2026. The announcement was made during a meeting between Director WASA Mudassar Javed and Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi at the National Hockey Stadium.

DG Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi revealed that scholarships will be awarded to the best performers of the CM Punjab Premier League, ensuring recognition and support for emerging talent. Competitions will be held at divisional, district, and tehsil levels, ensuring widespread participation and opportunities for athletes at the grassroots.

“The CM Punjab Premier League promises to be a landmark event, combining competitive cricket with youth development initiatives. With scholarships, grassroots trials, and a packed sports calendar, Punjab is positioning itself as a hub for nurturing future sporting talent,” revealed.
