LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to four national players, allowing them to participate in overseas leagues during the 2026 season.

“The move is PCB’s structured approach to workload management while ensuring players gain international exposure,” stated a PCB official. Among the names, Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Nawaz, and Usama Mir have been cleared to feature in the Vitality T20 Blast 2026 in England. Sufiyan Muqeem’s availability is limited between May 22 and June 7, restricting his participation to the early phase of the tournament. Mohammad Nawaz and Usama Mir have been granted extended windows, stretching until mid and late July, allowing them to play a larger portion of the competition.

Usama Mir, who previously represented Worcestershire in 2023, impressed with 19 wickets in 11 matches at an economy of 7.29. Nawaz and Sufiyan, meanwhile, are set to make their debut stints in the Vitality Blast.

Veteran seamer Mohammad Abbas has been issued multiple NOCs to represent Derbyshire across different phases of the county season. His stints are spread across April, May, June, and a longer window from August to late September, ensuring his presence in red-ball cricket while balancing workload management.

It is noteworthy that the three spinners—Sufiyan, Nawaz, and Usama—are currently active in the ongoing PSL 11. Sufiyan Muqeem is playing for Peshawar Zalmi. Mohammad Nawaz is representing Multan Sultans. Usama Mir is part of the defending champions Lahore Qalandars.
