ISLAMABAD: Top seed Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK) got off to a winning start in the ITF Pakistan 3rd Zainab Ali Naqvi Memorial World Juniors Tennis Championship 2026 (Leg-1) on a rain-marred day at the PTF Tennis Complex on Wednesday.

Mikaeel defeated Ruoyu Hua (CHN) 6-2, 6-3 to make it to the next round. Due to inclement weather conditions in Islamabad, the matches commenced later than scheduled in the second half of the day.

Result: Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK) bt Ruoyu Hua (CHN) 6-2, 6-3; Zohaib Afzal Malik (PAK) bt M Aayan Waqas(MAS) 6-0, 6-0; Amir Mazari (PAK) bt M Yahya 6-2, 6-2. Ganuka Fernando (SRI) bt Matsumoto (JPN) 6-3, 6-3; Abubakar Talha (PAK) Jamie Chen (HGK) 6-1, 6-2.
