KARACHI: Chery Master Pakistan will launch its five-seater plug-in hybrid SUV, the Tiggo 7 PHEV, on April 10, expanding its locally assembled new energy vehicle lineup and intensifying competition in the C-segment market.
The company said the model will be assembled locally as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit, with deliveries expected from June 2026, subject to booking volumes. Pricing and booking details will be announced at launch.
The Tiggo 7 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an 18.3 kWh battery and hybrid transmission, producing 255 kW of power and 525 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed electric-only range of over 90 kilometres and a combined range exceeding 1,200 kilometres.
Chery said the vehicle is equipped with safety and driver assistance features, including eight airbags and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems, along with a dual-display interface and vehicle-to-load capability.
The launch comes as fuel costs remain elevated, with automakers increasingly introducing hybrid and electric options in Pakistan. Chery operates in the country through Master Auto Engineering and has established a nationwide dealership and aftersales network ahead of the launch.
