ISLAMABAD: Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai, who also is the head of the opposition alliance, on Tuesday said they will hold consultations about participation in a public meeting announced by KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House here, Achakzai maintained that the PTI founder will not be minused and vowed that they will not be part of any conspiracy. He emphasized that the experience of “minusing” any political figure has led to destruction, “minusing” the PTI founder should be condemned and resisted in every case. “Our cooperation with the PTI founder has taken place in such circumstances when he was in trouble, he promised friendship with Imran Khan, this alliance is established and will remain.”
The opposition leader emphasised that he and Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas have an alliance with the PTI founder until he comes out honourably. He said Allama and he said that “we will not sit here to get other people’s children and girls killed; we will resist but not trade anyone’s life”.
Achakzai said Sohail Afridi did not contact the opposition before announcing any rally, the PTI had told them that the party founder has ordered not to hold any rally anywhere without having been issued an NOC.
