ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday restrained the Capital Development Authority (CDA) from demolishing houses and evicting residents in Saidpur Model Village, located in the Daman-e-Koh area.

Justice Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas heard the petitions filed by around 128 local residents. The petitioners were represented by Advocate Rizwan Abbasi. The court directed the CDA not to demolish the houses of the petitioners until the next hearing and issued notices to the authority, seeking a detailed report. The petitions were clubbed with previously pending cases, and the hearing was adjourned.
