BANNU: Suspected militants commandeered a cash vehicle of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) within the jurisdiction of Domel Police Station, sources said.
Unidentified armed men seized the HBL cash van after overpowering its driver, security guards, and the cash it was carrying.
The sources said the vehicle contained a large amount of money as well as security weapons.
The militants later released an image of the vehicle on social media, clearly showing the HBL van.
Subsequently, they set free the vehicle and the bank staff; however, they escaped with the cash and weapons.
It is noteworthy that the HBL vehicle was being used to transport cash to various banks in the area.
Repeated incidents of this nature within the limits of Domel Police Station have created a sense of fear and insecurity among the local population.
