PCJCCI partners with Lahore hospital to support expatriate healthcare

LAHORE: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI), the Chinese Consulate in Lahore and Hameed Latif Hospital have launched a healthcare initiative to provide dedicated medical services for Chinese nationals living and working in the city.

The partnership follows an expression of interest from Hameed Latif Hospital, offering services including on-site outpatient sessions, priority consultations, diagnostic facilities and preferential treatment for consulate staff and Chinese professionals.

The move comes amid a growing presence of Chinese engineers, investors and business representatives in Pakistan, increasing demand for structured healthcare support.Sun Yan, consul general of China in Lahore, welcomed the initiative, saying it would enhance confidence among Chinese nationals and support broader cooperation.

PCJCCI President Nazir Hussain said the collaboration reflects the long-standing ties between the two countries and the importance of ensuring the well-being of Chinese professionals contributing to Pakistan’s economy.

Dr Haroon Latif Khan, executive director of Hameed Latif Hospital, said the facility aims to provide timely and quality care, describing the initiative as a step towards deeper institutional cooperation.Stakeholders also agreed to explore further collaboration, including medical awareness sessions, health camps and emergency support services tailored for the Chinese community.
